I moved to the Shenandoah Valley in the summer of 2019 and after a proper steeping in all the surrounding beauty, I started painting a year or so later.  I hadn't planned to, I wasn't yearning to; it just sort of happened.   Not having any formal art instruction aside from a couple of elective art classes in college, my new identity as self-taught working artist is constantly evolving.  While I'm drawn mostly to representational landscape art, I'm often lured by other subject matter and styles and I've often been told that my exhibits resemble those featuring multiple artists rather than solo shows.
